What it means
A questionnaire sent before a fine is issued, giving you the chance to respond to the accusation — usually within one to two weeks. You must correct your personal details if they are wrong, but you are never obliged to incriminate yourself or reveal who was driving. Ignoring it does not stop the proceedings; the Bußgeldbescheid usually follows.
