How it works

From a letter you don’t understand to a case that’s handled

Eshkal works in a loop of five steps. You stay in control at every point where something leaves your hands.

01 · Tell

Tell it the way you would tell a friend

Type a sentence, photograph the letter, or record a voice note in Arabic, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, English or German.

  • Several pages in one scan
  • Explains the letter in your language
  • Shows the German original next to it
02 · Ask

Only the questions that matter

Eshkal asks one thing at a time, with answer chips you can tap. If you do not know, that is an answer too.

  • Your city decides which office is responsible
  • Dates and amounts from your documents
  • Saved facts fill in later forms
03 · Plan

A plan with a source for every fact

Each step shows who acts: Eshkal, you, or them. Deadlines are calculated and linked to the rule behind them.

  • Actor on every step
  • Official source with a “checked on” date
  • Clearly marked when there is no source
04 · Act with your OK

It does the work. You approve it.

Eshkal writes the email or letter, fills the official form and puts the deadline in your calendar. Sending in your name needs your OK, and on the phone your Face ID or fingerprint.

  • Sent from your own email account
  • Printable letters in DIN 5008
  • Filled forms show what you must check and sign
05 · Follow up

It does not give up

Eshkal waits, asks you on WhatsApp or by notification whether they replied, and moves to the next step when they ignore you.

  • Reminders before every deadline
  • “They replied?” check-ins
  • Escalation, one step at a time
The approval card

Nothing leaves without your OK

Before anything is sent in your name, you see exactly this card.

  1. 1
What will happen In one plain sentence, before any detail.
  2. 2
To whom, from which account The exact recipient and your own sending address.
  3. 3
The document The full German text, with a translation one tap away.
  4. 4
Attachments Every file that goes with it.
  5. 5
Send, Edit or Not now Nothing happens until you choose.

Sources

Every fact shows where it comes from

Deadlines, amounts and rules link to the law, a court decision or the office’s own page, with the date Eshkal last checked it. When there is no official source, Eshkal says so plainly.

§ 84 SGG · Widerspruchsfrist · checked 07.10.2026 BGH VIII ZR 71/05 · Abrechnungsfrist · checked 28.09.2026 Eshkal has no official source for this Sources are checked automatically every day and re-confirmed by the team at least every 30 days.
Escalation

When they ignore you, Eshkal climbs one step at a time

  1. Reminder A friendly reminder with a clear date.
  2. Formal deadline letter A Fristsetzung that puts them in default.
  3. Mieterverein or Verbraucherzentrale Advice and a complaint when they dispute deductions.
  4. Payment order (Mahnbescheid) A court payment order you apply for online, without a lawyer.
  5. Lawyer handover Everything a lawyer needs, indexed, sent with your OK.

What Eshkal will never do

  • Pretend to be a lawyer
  • Pretend to be an authority or write as one
  • Send anything without your OK
  • Present a guess as a fact without saying it has no source
  • Contact anyone you have not approved
  • Sell your data or use your letters for advertising
