Every fact comes with its official source.
Eshkal never states a fact about a law, deadline, office, fee or form without an official source it has stored and checked. When there is no official source, Eshkal says so instead of guessing.
The rule
Every recommendation has three parts.
Where sources come from
Only official or public-interest sources. Eshkal shows the type and the domain, never a logo.
- Law gesetze-im-internet.de
- Official form arbeitsagentur.de, city offices
- Authority page Jobcenter, Familienkasse, city offices
- Service catalogue verwaltung.bund.de (PVOG)
- Consumer centre verbraucherzentrale.de
- Arbitration board schlichtungsstelle-energie.de
- Court ruling bundesgerichtshof.de
How often sources are re-checked
When there is no official source
The step is marked, with one line on what Eshkal is unsure about. You can ask a professional instead.
Eshkal guidance
Some tips come from the Eshkal team, not from an official rule, for example to bring two copies of a letter. They are marked Eshkal guidance and never replace an official source; deadlines, fees, forms and legal facts always have one.
How to report a problem
Every source has a “Report a problem with this source” link. Tell us what looks wrong. We check reports as soon as we can, usually within a few working days, and tell you if your plan changes.
