What it means

A Bedarfsgemeinschaft is the group of people in one household — partners and children under 25 — whose income and needs are calculated together for Bürgergeld. The income of one member can reduce the benefits of all. Report correctly who lives with you; flatmates without a relationship are normally not part of it, and you can contest a wrong classification.
